A candlelight vigil was held on Friday evening (December 4) for a 23-year-old man after he was reportedly shot and killed by police earlier that day in Columbus, Ohio.
The People & # 39; s Justice Project identified the person as Casey Christian Goodson Jr. and posted pictures of the vigil on their official Facebook page. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office has not yet officially identified the man.
Local news broadcaster ABC6 reports that the CPD is investigating the shooting that occurred Friday afternoon when a deputy of the Franklin County Sheriff who worked with the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force in South Ohio shot the man they claimed shot and killed that he waved a gun.
The filming took place at Estate Place in northeast Columbus. Pete Tobin, the U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Ohio, said the task force had just finished its work in the area when Goodson allegedly drove past them with a gun.
"He was seen driving down the street with a gun," Tobin said, according to the point of sale. "Then the deputy confronted him at some point afterwards. And things went badly."

Police then claim that the man got out of his car during the confrontation and was shot dead by the MP, who has not yet been publicly identified. He was then taken to the OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he later died.
However, the details of the encounter are disputed by the young man's mother, who said he was returning home from the dentist and was shot three times in the back.
"The police shot him in the back three times through the door," said Tamala Cain. She said he was licensed to carry a hidden weapon, had no arrest warrants, and had never been in trouble in his life. Authorities also say he has nothing to do with the Deputy Marshal Task Force investigation.
Tobin believes law enforcement had the right to use lethal force, but noted that the MP is under investigation by the CPD and the Franklin County Attorney's Office.
